Bohol On My Mind blog is where I reminisce and rave about my home province of Bohol. Right now, I am too homesick to do some raving and I am wont to do a lot of reminiscing instead. But I daydream about it a lot rather than blogging about it!
Bohol has been in the Philippine tourism limelight for several years now. In fact, it has been declared as the number one tourist destination in the country. And that honour had brought along with it a lot of local and foreign tourists visiting Bohol.
Also, reading me rave about Bohol does not seem to be right because of the element of bias in it. There is more impact on readers if it is an objective view from a tourist who have just had a wonderful experience after visiting Bohol.
In fact, a lot of bloggers out there have raved about their Bohol experience. Just do a Google search on Bohol and you will find a lot of blogposts on Bohol and its many tourist attractions. However, it can be a tedious task and certainly at times, a hit and miss experience.
That's why I'm glad there is Bohol Blog, "the best spot you've never heard of." In this blog, you will find blogposts about Bohol, many of them about their author's amazing experience after their visit to Bohol.
If you have not heard about Bohol and its many tourist attractions like the Chocolate Hills, Loboc River, Baclayon Church, pristine white beaches and excellent diving spots, or you already heard about the province and want to know more about its beauty straight from the horse's mouth (figuratively speaking), then this is the blog to visit. I guarantee you will be wanting to fly straight to Bohol after reading some of the blogposts.
If you have written in your blog about your amazing experience in Bohol, you can have it featured in Bohol Blog. Just contact the author of the blog by email, which you can find at the bottom of the blog page.

Fiesta Greetings
Today, the city of Tagbilaran celebrates the feast of their patron saint, Saint Joseph the Worker. I spent ten years of my childhood in this city and the annual fiesta celebrations evokes many wonderful memories.
The fiesta preparations like the decorations, house clean up, food ingredients, cooking lots of food recipes and many more. The endless stream of visitors known and strangers alike. Getting to know relatives you have just met and come from places you have not heard of before. In general, it was all fun and joy (never mind the hardships behind it)!
The first three days of May were very busy for our family then. After the Tagbilaran fiest, off we go to Santa Cruz, Baclayon for its fiesta. The latter is my father's home and essentially the root of our paternal clan. There, the fun and joy continued.
If you like going to fiestas then you should be in Bohol during this merry month of May. With a bit of intelligence gathering, you will be off to a fiesta anywhere in the province on every day of this month. I kid you not!
By the time the people from Tagbilaran will read this, many of them will be suffering with a hang over or muscle/joint aches from all the festivities and activities during the fiesta. Not that they will be complaining though but rather moaning with happiness and left over excitement.
I have done a post on Tagbilaran fiesta last year, so please do enjoy reading them again. Especially if you are going to attend a fiesta in Bohol as a first timer, you will find some good tips there.
